Microsoft Training Room is open for business

We are excited to share that Charlotte Works officially opened our new computer lab on November 12!

The Microsoft Training Room now hosts 12 computers with Internet capabilities and a printer.

As we continue to design and offer new workshops, the use of technology for experiential learning becomes increasingly important. For example, in our LinkedIn series, you can now get real-time, hands-on experience as the facilitator guides you in marketing yourself using the site and enhancing your profile.

The new lab also gives us the opportunity to review other workshops and presentations we currently offer to see how to creatively integrate the use of technology, which is a critical skill in today’s marketplace, to reinforce the learning.

Some of you have expressed the desire to learn basic computer skills, and with the launch of NCWorks Online, many of you have also shared that you find this tool to be a challenge to navigate. To help you take advantage of all that site has to offer, we’re in the process of designing an “Introduction to NCWorks Online” workshop that we expect to launch in early December.

Stay tuned for more news as we begin to roll out classes in the new Microsoft Training Room!
