On-The-Job Training Grants Orientation
Thursday, March 20
10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Were you laid off from a Mecklenburg County employer? Have you received Unemployment Insurance benefits in the last calendar year? You may qualify for an On-The-Job Training Grant (OJT). Attend this orientation to learn how companies can hire and train you while getting reim-bursed for a large portion of your salary! It’s a “win-win” for job-seekers and employers.

Managing Your Credit Score

We’ll tell you how employers are using your credit score, how to get your credit score for free and the benefits of having “good credit.” You’ll leave this session empowered with the knowledge and planning you need to change your credit situation.

DISC: Your Secret Communication Weapon

Interviewers have many different communication and conversation styles. Matching an inter-viewer’s style can give you an edge when pursuing a job. This fun and interactive class will help you understand how you communicate and how to assess your DISC communication style. This technique will help you build an instant rapport with the person with whom you are speaking.

b. Go to the OTHER SERVICES tab
c. Click on APPOINTMENT CENTER
d. Choose EVENTS CALENDAR
e. Click on SHOW FILTER CRITERIA. For LWIA/Region select “Charlotte Works Work Force Development Board.” For Office Location select “Charlotte/Mecklenburg Employment Engage-ment Center”
f. Click on FILTER
g. Choose your desired event and click on it. Confirm date & time and click on REGISTER at the bottom of the page
