Managing Through Financial Crisis

It’s natural to feel anxiety during career transition. Managing your bills with limited or no income can be challenging. In this back-by-popular-demand workshop, we’ll cover the fundamentals of money management and offer legal insight to consider when facing difficult financial decisions in the midst of unemployment. You’ll also learn about resources, tools and encouragement that can help you survive these challenging moments.

 

Savvy Cover Letters

Join us to learn the importance of a first impression. Understand how the first words out of your mouth set the tone for conversation. This interactive workshop allows you to review and perfect your current elevator speech to make lasting first impressions. It will be led by Howard Ross [http://newsletter.charlotteworks.com/volunteer-howard-ross-offers-clients-more-than-just-hope/], a sales and marketing professional who’s a well-known job-search team facilitator and resume coach at the NCWorks Career Center.

Join us for this *new* REACH information session to learn what skills are in demand and how to combine your work experience with technology.

  • Discover what types of information technology work in your area of interest.
  • Explore the value of certifications.
  • Understand how to meet the right people to move you forward.

This session will be facilitated by CPCC’s Information Technology Director Karla Shields and Kelly Cochran, REACH program career coach.

Learn the steps to establish or rebuild your credit. In this engaging workshop, Ed Gilliam of Alliance Credit Counseling will help you build solid financial health and avoid credit pitfalls. Only participants who attend this workshop will have the exclusive opportunity to receive one-on-one counseling on their individual credit reports the following week.
