Second youth intern joins staff for summer work experience

Destiny Black, a recent graduate of Garinger High School, has joined Diamond Grier as a summer youth intern at Charlotte Works.

She comes to us from the Urban League’s LYTE (Linking Youth to Technology Through Education) program.

Black will engage in a combination of observation and actual work, including attending orientations, workshops and meetings of the board of directors and the youth council. She’ll join Grier in presenting on her experiences and suggestions for improvement in one specific aspect of Charlotte Works operations.

Charlotte Works is not accepting any additional summer youth interns. Other work-based learning opportunities will be announced in future issues of News @ The Works.
