06 May Rapid Response Outreach: Supporting the Family Dollar Team
When layoffs hit local staples like Family Dollar, the impact ripples through the entire community. Our goal at Charlotte Works is to make sure those transitions don’t turn into long-term unemployment.
We recently hosted a Rapid Response event specifically for impacted Family Dollar employees, and the energy in the room was focused on what’s next. We want to give a massive shout-out to the team at Harris Teeter. They didn’t just show up; they were hands-on, talking to people one-on-one and offering immediate career paths to those in transition.
Keeping these workers in our local labor pool is a win for everyone. When we help a neighbor find their next step quickly, our whole regional economy stays stronger.
