Bridging the Gap to Economic Opportunity: Charlotte Works and NCWorks Connects Talent and Employers

At our NCWorks Career Center, the focus is always on direct, meaningful connection bridging the gap between talented local job seekers and the employers who need them.

We recently hosted a customized hiring event in partnership with Family Services of America, designed to match local residents directly with hiring managers for open Behavioral Technician and Case Manager roles. Job seekers were on-site, filling out applications and speaking face-to-face with recruiters about these high-impact career opportunities.

The event also caught the attention of Spectrum News 1, who came out to capture the action and highlight how our career centers serve as a critical workforce hub for Mecklenburg County.

More Than Just a Meeting Space

To the casual observer, a hiring event might just look like a room full of tables. But at Charlotte Works, our role goes far beyond providing physical space. Events like this are a direct result of our Business Engagement team building relationships with employers to design customized recruitment solutions.

We work with job seekers and employers alike to help everyone reach their goals whether that means finding employment, gaining job skills, filling open positions, or building a sustainable talent pipeline. By helping local businesses grow and connecting residents to careers that pay a family-sustaining wage, we are working together to make Charlotte-Mecklenburg a place of economic opportunity for all.

Mark Your Calendar: The Next Event is July 22

If you missed the hiring event, you don’t have to wait long for the next opportunity. Family Services of America will be hosting another hiring event on Wednesday, July 22 at the NCWorks Career Center.
