Orientation: Change is good!

Not the change pictured above … change to how we’re bringing you into the NCWorks program!

Starting in May, your NCWorks Career Centers will be piloting a new, streamlined way of doing business that’s designed to get you the job-search help you need faster so you can get employed faster!

The two things you need to know:

Starting Monday, May 2, you won’t have to register to attend an orientation at the NCWorks Career Centers at W. Morehead Street and Executive Center Drive.
So when you log onto NCWorks Online after Friday, April 15, you’ll notice that orientations will still be included on the Events Calendar, but without the registration option. That’s because we’ll offer a quicker, more engaging session that will give you the basics about our programs and services and then immediately connect you with an NCWorks team member who’ll get you started. Orientations will be offered multiple times throughout the day, so you can walk in and attend the next available session – no registration required. Note: you’ll still need to register to attend an orientation session through Friday, April 29.

1401 W. Morehead St. Orientations: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m.

5601 Executive Center Dr. Orientations: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m.

The last evening orientation session will be held on Wednesday, April 20 (at W. Morehead Street).
That’s right: we’ll no longer offer orientations on the second and third Wednesdays of each month. Don’t worry! Our Career Center will remain open, with staff in the Resource Center to assist you and a workshop or two. And you can now attend an orientation and get started quicker, making your entry into the NCWorks program more convenient and efficient for you!

We hope you’ll be as excited about these changes as we are! We look forward to serving you soon!
