19 Feb Meet Interim President & CEO Danielle Frazier
It brings me great pleasure to introduce myself as interim president and CEO of Charlotte Works. This is truly a humbling experience and I look forward to serving in this capacity.
I’ve worked in workforce development for more than 17 years, eight of which have been with this organization in various roles including operations, program development, oversight and management, strategic planning and leadership. I’ve had the opportunity to see Charlotte Works grow tremendously and transition into a national leader in workforce development.
We’ve transformed a traditional workforce board and system into one that is job-driven and aligns our region’s talent with employers’ needs. We’ve strengthened our community partnerships with education, industry and economic development. We’ve also become a trusted source for labor market intelligence. I’m proud to be a part of an organization that plays such an intricate role in this community and touches so many citizens.
I’m thrilled about our accomplishments, but even more excited about our future. Charlotte Works knows the importance of being innovative and creative in finding new ways to further our vision of ensuring that the Charlotte region is home to the nation’s most skilled and work-ready workforce. We’ll continue to operate according to our core values of taking risks and pushing the boundaries beyond what’s traditional.
I’m excited to build upon this foundation to make an even greater impacts in the community. Some of those greater impacts will come by enhancing our employer engagement through the development of sector strategies, extending our reach even further into the K-12 system to ensure that our future talent is aware of educational and career opportunities and creating capacities to build a more regional workforce system.
