LinkedIn: get ready to ride!

“Improving personal and professional lives” is Philipp Erhardt’s LinkedIn tagline, and he lives it here at Charlotte Works every time he volunteers.

Erhardt is a media developer, eLearning professional, instructional designer and editor. He brings his love of teaching to others as an orientation leader and resource assistant.

Based on his orientation experience, he’s developed a new workshop for job-seekers who have never seen or heard of LinkedIn, or who might be overwhelmed by this powerful social media tool.

“During orientation, I ask who’s on LinkedIn. I’ve noticed a group of clients who are intimidated by the site – they don’t know where to begin,” says Erhardt. “I decided to develop a training that covered four core elements of LinkedIn: profile creation, how to find help, building a personal network and searching groups and companies.”

LinkedIn is the largest professional social media site, with more than 225 million members worldwide. According to Erhardt, 77 percent of all job openings are posted on LinkedIn.

“LinkedIn on Training Wheels: A Primer for the LinkedIn Challenged” will debut on Wednesday, August 28, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Register now.

After attending this workshop, get ready to take the training wheels off and ride LinkedIn to job-search success!
