If you’re in the market for a new job, the next few weeks offer multiple opportunities for you to get face-to-face with hiring managers and other company representatives to pitch yourself for open positions.

Here are the details on four upcoming job fairs:

The Mayor’s Job Fair: Saturday, Feb. 22

The Mayor’s Job Fair will showcase sectors in the Charlotte area that are looking to fill entry-level and supervisory positions. This is your chance to have high-volume, high-impact conversations with the companies that are hiring right now.

The fair will take place on Saturday, February 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel (555 S. McDowell Street, Charlotte, NC 28204). [links to ]

NCTA Job Fair logo - ArticleCOME TECH OUT Charlotte: Friday, Feb. 28

The N.C. Technology Association has partnered with Business Innovation & Growth (BIG), the Charlotte Chamber, Charlotte Works and Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC)’s Computer Technology Institute to host the first COME TECH OUT Charlotte Job Fair to promote regional job openings in the tech industry.

Around 30 employers are expected to attend. Says NCTA, “At our last similar event in the fall in the Triangle, a sellout group of employers with over 1,000 real job openings met hundreds of candidates and made dozens of offers – so act quickly!”

COME TECH OUT Charlotte will be held on Friday, February 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CPCC’s Levine Campus (2800 Campus Ridge Rd, Matthews, NC 28105).  Attendance is free for job-seekers, but you must register to attend (scroll to the bottom of the page).

CPCC Career Fair logo - ArticleCentral Piedmont Community College’s 26th Annual Career Fair: Thursday, March 6

Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) 26th Annual Career Fair is one of Charlotte’s largest events for job-seekers. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. Parking is available in the college’s student decks with no permit required.

CPCC students and all veterans will receive special access at the VIP entrance: students, show your CPCC ID; veterans, show your DD-214 papers to be admitted.

The Career Fair will be held on Thursday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Grady Cole Center (310 N. Kings Drive, Charlotte, NC 28204).

The City of Charlotte will host a job fair on Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Police and Fire Training Center (1770 Shopton Road, Charlotte, NC 28217).

Nearly all city departments are expected to be represented, and available positions include public safety, labor and skilled trade, drivers with commercial licenses and professional/administrative positions.
